Swadlincote, Newhall, Woodville

South Derbyshire residents were consulted by way of six Safer Neighbourhood meetings in June 2007 and by targeted postcards and newsletters. This consultation work, along with statistical information and a series of walks by partner agencies around the designated areas identified work required for the Swadlincote Clean Ups.

This work included graffiti removal, fencing, removal of litter and fly-tipping and the demolition of derelict buildings.

South Derbyshire District Council Housing, Environmental Services and Parks departments, the Police, Fire Service, Groundwork, Council for Voluntary Service, District Councillors, Safer South Derbyshire Partnership, Neighbourhood Watch, the Police Business Crime Team and local schools have all been involved in delivering this project.
