The Community Safety team at Amber Valley comprises the following officers:

• Assistant Community Safety Officer (Vicki England)
• Community Safety Sergeant (Julie Hay)
• Anti-Social Behaviour Co-ordinator (Graham Jarrett)
• Domestic Violence Co-ordinator (Jacki Gray)

In 2004 we undertook an audit of crime and disorder in the borough, and carried out consultation on the findings.  As a result of this, the following priorities and cross-cutting issues were identified for 2005-8:

To reduce the incidence of domestic burglary in Amber Valley

To reduce the incidences of theft of and theft from vehicles in Amber Valley

To reduce violent offending in Amber Valley

Key Cross-Cutting Issues

Alcohol Misuse

We will engage in partnership working to tackle the harm that alcohol misuse causes to the communities of Amber Valley, including tackling alcohol-related anti-social behaviour and violence

Drugs

We will work in partnership to reduce the harm caused by drug misuse in Amber Valley

Prolific and Priority Offenders

We will identify and direct interventions towards reducing offending by the most prolific and priority offenders within Amber Valley
