Amber Valley CSP - How you can help
There are several ways that residents of Amber Valley can help in the fight against crime…
• Why not join your local Neighbourhood Watch scheme – or if there isn’t one in your area, why not consider setting one up? click here for further details
• Attend local meetings and find out what’s going on in your local area. Why not attend the local Police Consultative meeting, which can give you information on what’s happening in your area, and allow you to ask questions and give your comments to the local officers
• Report all crime! Although it may sound simple, many people do not report crimes. Only by reporting these incidents can action be taken to catch the offenders and bring those responsible to justice. Reporting crime can also make us aware that there are on-going problems in an area.
• If you are worried about your home being burgled, and you are over 65 or are particularly vulnerable, you may be able to obtain a free ‘Homeguard’ alarm from us. If you live in Amber Valley and think you may be eligible for a free alarm, please contact the Crime Reduction Officer at your local police station.
• Remember - dial 999 in an emergency
