Bolsover CSP - Action Teams
We have set up action groups to deliver our priorities. Each one is made up of members from organisations that can help in reducing a particular problem and works to an action plan that is developed annually from the Community Safety Strategy. These plans have specific targets attached to them which are closely monitored by the Partnership.
Acquisitive Crime Action Group
This group is committed to reducing the number of domestic burglaries and vehicle crime. This involves educating householders and car owners in crime prevention as well as making it more difficult for thieves to operate. This group is also involved with groups that address Prolific and Priority Offenders (PPOs) to reduce crime by targeting those who offend most or otherwise cause most harm to their communities.
Violent Crime Action Group
We have split Violent Crime into two action groups to address domestic abuse and alcohol related violence. The Domestic Abuse team has successfully obtained funding for an outreach worker who will be working in hotspot areas throughout the District of Bolsover. The team concerned with alcohol related violence has set up Pub Watch schemes and is looking to set up alcohol controlled zones.
Anti-social Behaviour (ASB) Action Group
Has also been split into two teams, one looks at individual persistent ASB cases and the other group will look at preventative measures. The strategic group will be looking at the wider environmental issues of ASB and addressing the ASB elements of the Community Safety Strategy 2005-08.
The ASB Action Group is also linked to a Hate Crime Task Group that monitors and tackles racial and homophobic incidences, a Drug and Alcohol Action Group which looks at preventative measures and access to treatment for drug and alcohol, an Alcohol Task Group which looks at specific alcohol related problems. These three groups are held on a joint basis with North East Derbyshire and Chesterfield Community Safety Partnerships
