The High Peak Community Safety Partnership set priorities, manage resources and monitors activity in the borough area. Crime and community safety is a key concern for local communities, even in areas of low crime such as the High Peak.
Crime can affect people in many ways, be it fear of crime, experiencing nuisance or being a victim of crime. The community safety team undertakes the day today work of the partnership, and consists of a community safety officer, anti-social behaviour officer and a partnership sergeant seconded from the police.
A Partnership plan (opens in a new window) is produced, containing an action plan to tackle anti-social behaviour, violence and acquisitive crime (including violent crime and burglary).
