The strategy is developed following an audit of crime and disorder using recorded crime figures, other agency data and results from a number of public surveys and consultation exercises.

• Review patterns of crime and disorder across South Derbyshire to see what the problems are and where they are happening
• Consult with the community to see what is important to you
• Produce a three yearly plan to set out our priorities  
• Set targets to reduce crime and disorder
• Work together on projects which will help us meet our targets
