GameZone comes to Hollingwood
Young people are being invited to a night of computer games and karaoke in Hollingwood.
The local Safer Neighbourhood team has organised a ten week course of GameZone sessions at the Hollingwood Hotel.
The first session will be held on Monday (February 4) and the games consoles used on the night will include Playstation 2, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. A variety of games and a dance mat will be available for young people to try.
The GameZone team does not stock any games with an 18 certificate.
Competitions will be held throughout the evening on a large screen and there will be refreshments on sale.
Karaoke and nail art sessions will be available for those who do not want to try the games.
The sessions are free and open to children aged between eight and 18.
PC Akeel Hussain said: "GameZone is a great chance for children to get together with their friends, play games and have some fun.
"It also gives them something to do in the evenings."
GameZone will run at the Hollingwood Hotel from 6pm until 8.30pm every Monday night until April 7.
The Hollingwood Hotel is also putting on discounted meals for families during the sessions.
