During the Community Safety Partnerships consultation on the crime and disorder audits during 2004, road safety was often raised as a local concern.
Road safety in Derbyshire is dealt with by Derbyshire Road Safety Partnership, which is made up of a range of agencies including Derbyshire County Council, Derby City Council, Derbyshire Constabulary, Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service, Derbyshire Primary Care Trust, North Derbyshire Health Promotion Service and East Midlands Ambulance Service.
