Summary of Organisation

Derbyshire CJB is one of 42 local criminal justice boards set up across England and Wales in 2003 to transform the way in which the criminal justice system (CJS) works.

Derbyshire DCJ brings together the chief officers from all the CJS agencies, which are:

Police, Crown Prosecution Service, Her Majesty’s Court Service, City and County Youth Offending Service, National Probation Service and Her Majesty’s Prison Service.

Together they are responsible for meeting local and national targets to improve the whole of the CJS in Derbyshire.
