Derbyshire Mental Health Services NHS Trust

The Derbyshire Mental Health Services NHS Trust was formed on 1 April 2002 following wide consultation and subsequent approval from the Secretary of State for Health to form a new countywide specialist Mental Health Trust. This was achieved as a result of a merger between the Southern Derbyshire Community and Mental Health Services NHS Trust and the Northern Derbyshire Mental Health Confederation – previously managed by the Community Health Care Services (North Derbyshire) NHS Trust. As a consequence of these changes, the Community Health Care Services (North Derbyshire) NHS Trust was dissolved on 31 March 2002.
