Women's Aid
Women's Aid is the national charity working to end domestic violence against women and children. They co-ordinate and support an England-wide network of over 300 local projects, providing over 500 refuges, helplines, outreach services and advice centres.

Women's Aid have published a Domestic Violence Information Pack which contains accessible, easy to download information on domestic violkence, including facts and figures, a question and answer sheet and more general information on the work of Women's Aid

Women's Aid have also published The Survivor's Handbook, a comprehensive on-line resource for women experiencing domestic abuse (now available in 10 community languages)

Women's Aid also have a website - 'The Hideout' - meeting the needs of children and young people affected by domestic violence



Rape Crisis
Rape Crisis groups exist across the UK and Ireland to provide services for women and girls and will also provide information of support agencies for men



Release
Legal Helpline and advice to drug users, their families, friends and statutory and voluntary agencies. Advice is free, professional, non-judgemental and confidential



Rights of Women
Rights of Women works to attain justice and equality by informing, educating and empowering women on their legal rights.

This is a service for men who are looking for information and advice to stop their abusive or violent behaviour towards their partners.

The NSPCC also has a site for anyone in the UK between the ages of 12 and 16, offering on screen advice on issues including bullying, relationships, exams, drugs, difficulties at home. Visitors can also send an e-mail to Sam, the agony aunt. There are confidential private sessions, talking 1-2-1 in 'real time' with an NSPCC adviser, or an e-mail service with a reply from an adviser within 24 hours. Action on Elder Abuse
The Elder Abuse Helpline operates between 10.00amand 4.30pmMonday to Friday. The helpline is confidential and provides information and emotional support.  It is available to people who are being abused, those who are concerned about possible abuse, carers and workers who may have similar concerns, and those who are interested in finding out more about elder abuse. 



Get Connected
Get Connected is a free, UK wide, email and telephone helpline that finds young people the best help whatever the problem. The helpline workers listen to what you need to sort out, explain the options you have, and then make suggestions of services where you can get the best help. Get Connected has access to information on thousands of services, both locally and nationally.
