Stop Hurting
Launched in April 2004, 'Stop Hurting' is Derbyshire County Council's campaign to reduce the number of incidents of domestic abuse across the county.
The Stop Hurting campaign booklet is available in full colour on the Derbyshire County Council website in three regional editions:
North East Derbyshire
North West Derbyshire, and
Central and South Derbyshire

There are currently 35 statutory and voluntary agencies including social services, housing, health, benefits, emergency services, victim support and Women's Aid working together to address issues around domestic violence in the High Peak and Derbyshire Dales areas.

North Derbyshire Women's Aid (NDWA) is a specialist organisation offering support and advice to women and children in the area who are or have been experiencing domestic abuse. We also provide outreach services through North Derbyshire Domestic Abuse Outreach Services that are available to male and female victims of domestic abuse.

South Derbyshire CVS. Its Family Support Co-ordinator (Domestic Abuse) works with children and families offering help, support and information. The co-ordinator will also look at options and liaise with any other agency, voluntary and statutory, that can be of help including housing, Citizens' Advice Bureau, youth services and the police.
