This area has been designed for teachers and other interested parties who wish to access resources that contribute to the teaching of Citizenship education within, “the area of the law and the justice system” (Key Stage 3 – 3b) and, “the roles and operation of the civil and criminal law and the justice system” (Key Stage 4, 3b). (The National Curriculum – Statutory Requirements for Key Stages 3 and 4 – 2009).

Use the menu on the left to view what is available and you will note that there is a considerable number of resources to assist you in delivering this area of the citizenship programme. I have recently asked all the partners to view their resources and carry out any updating that they consider appropriate. In addition, new resources from the Derbyshire Probation Service have been recently posted and two new education packs from the Derbyshire Trading Standards Service and the Derbyshire Crown Prosecution Service will be added shortly.

I hope that these resources can be used in discreet lessons, cross-curricular settings and off-timetable days. We intend to keep these resources up-to-date and continue to offer new areas as they are produced.
