| Summary of Organisation | Derbyshire CJB is one of 42 local criminal justice boards across England and Wales established in 2003 to transform the way in which the criminal justice system (CJS) works. Derbyshire CJB brings together the chief officers from all the CJS agencies, which are: Police, Crown Prosecution Service, Her Majesty’s Court Service, Her Majesty’s Prison Service, Derbyshire Probation Area, City and County Youth Offending Service, Derby Community Safety Partnership, Derbyshire County Council (Safer Derbyshire), Victim Support and the Legal Services Commission and Together the Chief Officers are responsible for meeting local and national targets to improve the whole of the CJS in Derbyshire. |
