Reporting makes a difference... to you, your friends, and your life.

How can I report an incident?

There are two ways to report Hate Crime. The most effective contact for reporting and acting on Hate Crime is through the Police.  You don't have to be the victim to report a hate crime.

  • In an Emergency dial 999.   Alternatively, for less urgent reporting, call Derbyshire Constabulary on 0345 123 33 33 where you will speak to trained officers, in confidence.  They will arrange to meet you and provide assistance whilst taking a statement from you

  • Derbyshire has a 24 hour third party reporting line for witnessess and victims of hate crime called Stop Hate UK (opens in a new window).  This reporting service is independant of the police and will not pass information to them, unless the caller wishes for this to be done on their behalf.  You can call 0800 138 1625, text 07717 989 025 or use the online chat (opens in a new window) service.

  • Crimestoppers will take your call in confidence on 0800 555 111
