Road safety

Derbyshire Road Safety Partnership is made up of a range of agencies including Derbyshire County Council, Derby City Council, Derbyshire Constabulary, Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service, Derbyshire Primary Care Trust, North Derbyshire Health Promotion Service and East Midlands Ambulance Service.

The main aims are to:-

• Reduce the number of people killed or seriously injured on Derbyshire’s roads as a result of road traffic collisions 
• Raise awareness of road safety issues through education, training and publicity campaigns

Derbyshire Road Safety Partnership also works closely with Derbyshire Safety Camera Partnership.  Derbyshire Safety Camera Partnership is made up of similar partner agencies – Derbyshire Constabulary, Derbyshire County Council, Derby City Council, Highways Agency, Derbyshire Magistrates Service and the Crown Prosecution Service.
