Derbyshire Fire and Rescue offer heatwave advice

Enjoy the warm weather safely this summer.

Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service (DFRS) is asking members of the public to take extra care as the hot weather continues into the school holidays.

The hot weather throughout the months of June and July, has seen DFRS mobilised to 427 fires in the open, compared to the average number of fires in the open attended in the same period in June and July 2017 which was 178.

The advice covers Garden Fires, Barbecue Safety, Fires in the Open, Water Safety and Derelict Buildings.
