Multi-agency anti-social behaviour victims first face-to-face training

ASB Victims First training (incorporating ECINS) is work-based learning, using e-learning and a Workbook.

ASB victims first changes the way we work with victims of anti-social behaviour through:

  • better identification of vulnerable and repeat victims
  • improved service to callers
  • cultural shift towards a focus on harm to victims
  • improved multi-agency handling of high-risk cases

Training aims

To equip police and partners with knowledge and understanding of the risk assessment and multi-agency ASB case management processes, to ensure that vulnerable and repeat victims are effectively identified, protected and supported.

Objectives

  • understand the elements of the ASB victims first project - the risk and vulnerability assessment (RAVA) and the ASB case management IT system (ECINS)
  • know how we can enhance information sharing between agencies, through the use of ECINS, a secure web-based system
  • understand the processes for identifying and managing the risk of harm to victims of ASB, for example, VICTIM mnemonic, RAVA
  • become familiar with ECINS for case managing victims and perpetrators, for example, log on, screens, adding profiles, RAVAs, reports, events, cases and tasks
  • know how to set up their staff on ECINS
