There are two courses available to help you develop your knowledge and understanding of hate crime. A brief outline and the target audience for each course are included on this page.

Hate crime: An introduction eLearning

Hate crime: An introduction is aimed primarily at Derbyshire County Council employees and Derbyshire schools staff. It covers what hate crime is, the impact on victims, hate crime legislation and how to gain support for victims.

Hate crime awareness

This free half day course is for practitioners from any agency, who have little or no knowledge about hate crime and the support available for victims in Derbyshire.

The course will help you gain an increased understanding of hate crime and its effects, learn more about hate crime nationally and within Derbyshire, understand more about hate crime legislation and develop your skills in supporting people who have experienced hate crimes.
